OPI - Russian Navy; essence - absolutely blue; China Glaze - Lorelei's Tiara; Misslyn - obsession

Hi guys!

A quick review of what polishes I sported last week :)

OPI - Russian Navy

Prepare for a crapton of pictures of this Awesomeness in a Bottle...
OPI Russian Navy 1 OPI Russian Navy 2 OPI Russian Navy 3 OPI Russian Navy 4 OPI Russian Navy 5 OPI Russian Navy 6 OPI Russian Navy 7 OPI Russian Navy 8 OPI Russian Navy 9 OPI Russian Navy 10 OPI Russian Navy 11 OPI Russian Navy 12 OPI Russian Navy 13 OPI Russian Navy 14

Two coats plus top coat. More experienced people could probably make it perfect in one (slightly thick) coat. This polish is amazing. It has so much depth and can appear in various tints depending on the angle you look at it from and the lighting. Wow.

essence - absolutely blue

essence absolutely blue 1 essence absolutely blue 2 essence absolutely blue 3

I don't remember if I used two or three coats... I'm thinking it was probably two, but I really can't say for sure, sorry! Also with top coat. Just a nice basic light blue.

China Glaze - Lorelei's Tiara

Two coats for a glitter bomb xD It's actually pretty wearable, I think. Not necessarily to (my) work, but otherwise it's not extremely overwhelming. I love this glitter, it's amazing. But be prepared to use at least 2 - 3 coats of top coat. This glitter is unbelievably thirsty!

And last but not least...
Misslyn - obsession (no. 580)

misslyn 580 obsession 1 misslyn 580 obsession 2 misslyn 580 obsession 3 misslyn 580 obsession 4 misslyn 580 obsession 5

Two coats for even coverage. It dries a little dull, so you'll need top coat to make it glossy and fabulous ;) Can you see that shimmer? I believe that sort of not-really-glitter-but-something-similar is called glass fleck... Anyway, it's really pretty. It can appear more blue or more green depending on the light. Without much light, it looks very dark, but not exactly flat out black, more like a very dark green.

One of the reasons I wanted to try this out is because it seems many a Google search for this polish has led people to my blog, but of course they didn't find any pictures of it on here before. So I thought "Man, I even own that one, so why not post about it!", haha. I'm so great *rolls eyes*.

That's it, so as always thanks for reading and see you soon! :)

China Glaze - Skyscraper (over China Glaze - First Class Ticket)

Hey guys!

Another wonderful polish to show you, here it is layered over a base color.

China Glaze Skyscraper bottle shot

China Glaze Skyscraper 1 China Glaze Skyscraper 3 China Glaze Skyscraper 2

All taken in sunlight because otherwise you can't really appreciate the sparkles ;) I really liked how this turned out. As you can see from the bottle shot, Skyscraper has silver and purple glitter in it, but since First Class Ticket is purple itself, you can't really see the purple sparkles. Also, sorry about the tipwear, second day of wear and yes, I always have that much tipwear after only about one full day (because my nails are a mess really, can you see how thin they are?!).

Two thin coats for nice sparkle distribution. For anyone interested in details like this, Skyscraper was part of the China Glaze Metro Collection. First Class Ticket was included in the Vintage Vixen Collection.

That's it already for today, thanks for reading :)

China Glaze - First Class Ticket

Hey guys!

I cured two of my long-time lemmings this week and I'm wearing one of them right now, so I thought I'd show you, although you've probably seen this one about a million times already :)

China Glaze First Class Ticket with label 2 China Glaze First Class Ticket with label 1 China Glaze First Class Ticket 1 China Glaze First Class Ticket 2 China Glaze First Class Ticket 3

I used two coats for perfect coverage. With more experience and/or dexterity, you could probably make it look perfect with one. I put top coat on because, although it had a nice shine on it's own, top coat just made it pop that little bit more, especially all the wonderful shimmer.

In case you were wondering what my other long-time lemming is, it's OPI "Russian Navy". Can you tell I friggin' love purple? Though both of these could probably be considered either blue or purple, or blurple :)

These picture were taken with my "proper" camera, so the quality is obviously MUCH better than usual. Usually I take my pictures with my phone camera (which you could probably tell); the quality is okay-ish, depending on how much light there is around and which light and it's impossible to take close-ups with it because it can't focus on things that are too close. The problem with my "real" camera is that the colors aren't really displayed accurately. It's less bad than I thought when looking at the pictures on the computer, but yeah.
Also, the pictures I get with the proper camera are HUMONGOUSLY HUGE. I had to resize them two times and crop them to get Photobucket to upload them. I tried to find another site to host my pictures and mini videos, but I wasn't successful...

Anyway, I'll try to take my pictures with the good camera from now on because I know you guys would probably be happier with better quality pictures. I will also be happier :P I'll also try to post more often and more consistently.

Thanks for reading, see you soon!

essie - No More Film with white crackling; Maybelline and essence glitter gradient experiment; Maybelline and Catrice Cosmetics glitter sandwich;

Hey guys!

I didn't wear polish much this past week, but I have some little things to show you, so here we go. Unfortunately, most of the photos turned out even more craptacular than usual, sorry about that.

weekend of April 28 and 29

1 coat, I don't remember if I also put on top coat or not, sorry. When I looked at it on my nails I thought "This looks familiar...". And well, there is a polish that is extremely similar:

Expect to see a new Clash of the Polishes with these two going up against each other soon.
I put white shatter over that gorgeous dark blue and wore that for 2 days, then I had to take it off because shatter on all 10 fingers is just too much for me. It's too busy and there's too much going on.

2 coats with top coat. On Tuesday, I wanted to try sponging again. I have failed pathetically in the past, but this time I didn't fail quite as much as before.

I know it looks kind of like a try for YET ANOTHER Hunger Games manicure, but it's not, I promise, lol.

This is getting really long again, so here just have some pictures of my recent purchases.

Maybelline Rose Rush and Catrice Million Dollar Baby glitter sandwich 2 Maybelline Rose Rush and Catrice Million Dollar Baby glitter sandwich 3 Maybelline Rose Rush and Catrice Million Dollar Baby glitter sandwich 4 Maybelline Rose Rush and Catrice Million Dollar Baby glitter sandwich sunlight

2 coats of Maybelline Rose Rush, 1 coat of Catrice Million Dollar Baby (Million Styles Effect Top Coat) and 1 last coat of Rose Rush. I thought that Million Dollar Baby was gold all the way, but it's not, I was really surprised by that when I put the finaly coat of Rose Rush on it. The small glitter is gold, but the bigger, round-ish glitter is actually silver! That made me like the combination even more.

I'm rushing to finish this now, so sorry if anything's messed up (I know some of the pictures are upside down/90° to the side - that's Photobucket screwing me over -sorry- and I'm going crazy because of that, but yeah.). Thanks for reading, see you soon~
