Let's communicate.

Hey everyone,

I've once again been spending a bit of time (over)thinking what to do with this blog in the future. Long story short, I thought I'd just ask y'all what you want - please do share your thoughts! To make it a bit easier for you, I've created a neat little poll. I really, really hope as many of all 157 of you as possible will participate in the poll, and of course if you don't like the poll I hope you'll leave a comment instead. Feel free to leave any sort of "please no more of x/y" feedback as well. Please, just give me your input.

Poll now closed - please leave any further feedback in the comments!

OPI "Hawaii" - Pineapples Have Peelings, Too! (Lacke in Farbe ...und bunt!)

Hey everyone,

Today I'm showing you a polish I've been wanting for a while; it came out almost two years ago and usually doesn't get a lot of love because it is... well, kinda weird. I like it, though, for some reason, and recently finally added it to my collection. Perfectly in time for this week's theme: gold!

I used three coats and top coat (which did nothing). I briefly contemplated wearing this for Christmas Eve (which is the main celebration day in Germany, just FYI) but opted for something else in the end. In any case I do like this polish, though no one else seems to feel the same way.

Hot oder Schrott 2016 - Santa's Little Helper [German post]

Hallo zusammen,

Orly - Rock-o-co A Go Go (Lacke in Farbe ...und bunt!)

Hello everyone,

Not to annoy you with some more talk about how the year's about to end, Christmas is, like, tomorrow and all that... but this is the second-to last "Lacke in Farbe ...und bunt!" post for this year! Lena requested bordeaux, and I think I may be slightly off the mark this time, but I probably won't have much time to get other swatches done before it's too late, so this will have to do.

I originally swatched this for "Wir lackieren...", but then I slacked, posted three mini swatch spams and couldn't fit this into the appropriate month anymore. So, here we are. This is two coats with top coat. Look at that gorgeous sparkle! Yes, please.

essie "viva antigua!" - coconut cove (Lacke in Farbe ...und bunt!)

Hey everyone,

Quick update here, let's get right into it!

I used three coats and top coat, and it's still uneven/patchy. Damn you, ridges! I didn't mind that much, though, as in normal situations throughout the day it wasn't all that noticeable, only up close. This is a bit hard to describe for me - it's white, but not purely. I felt like it had a drop of pink or beige in it to make it less stark.

essence - nude sweet nude (Lacke in Farbe ...und bunt!)

Hey everyone,

As we're flooded with gold in all shades imaginable for Christmas, I think seeing some bronze is a nice change of scenery, so to speak, so here's my pick for the week.

You may argue that this looks sort of rosegold, and I would have to agree with you. I'm always on the hunt for that perfect rosegold shade, but I never feel like I 100% got it, I don't really know why. As you may be able to tell, this is an older photo, so unfortunately the specifics of this polish are eluding me; nevertheless, I'm going to estimate/guess, as usual: two coats and top coat. And brushstrokes aplenty.
